By using the services provided by UEdit, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Nature of the Service

UEdit provides academic editing, proofreading, review, consultation and related academic support services. Services are provided on an “as is” basis.

All comments, corrections and recommendations are advisory. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving all changes and for the accuracy, content and final submission of your work.

Academic Responsibility

You remain the author of your academic work and are responsible for complying with the academic integrity, authorship and artificial intelligence policies of your university or other institution.

UEdit does not guarantee that any thesis, dissertation, research proposal, article or other academic work will be accepted, approved or awarded any particular result.

Examination and Academic Outcomes

UEdit has no control over decisions made by universities, supervisors, examiners, reviewers, journals or other third parties.

UEdit accepts no liability for the outcome of any examination, assessment, thesis, dissertation, research proposal, publication or other academic submission, to the fullest extent permitted by South African law.

Confidentiality

Documents and information supplied to UEdit will be treated as confidential and will not intentionally be disclosed to unrelated third parties, except where required by law or reasonably necessary to provide the agreed service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, the total aggregate liability of UEdit to you, whether arising in contract, delict (including negligence) or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to UEdit during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

UEdit will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of its services.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
